Postmortem changes in catecholamines, indoleamines, and their metabolites in rat brain regions following decapitation were determined by LCEC. In the three regions studied neurotransmitter levels declined after decapitation, whereas the metabolite levels increased. Microwave irradiation at 10 kW rapidly inactivated brain enzymes and thus prevented the postmortem changes.  相似文献

The vegetative propagation ofGlaux maritima is correlated with growth habit which is inturn related to the light environment. Plant form and vegetative behaviour were recorded 1980–1984 and an attempt to correlate this to population dynamics and vegetation development was made.The type of vegetative propagation gives rise to a size hierarchy of propagules and thus a strong within clone dynamics. A range of life stages may be permanently present in a clone. Clones from different parts of a shore meadow have different patterns of vegetative propagation. The offshoot growth behaviour can be used to explain vegetation patterns and neighbour relationships.  相似文献

  1. a mathematical model is presented which predicts the expected optimal-patch-use strategy for solitary parasitoids with a limited fecundity.

The model predicts that the quality of the patches is determined by the proportion of unparasitized hosts and not by the density of those hosts, and that throughout the searching period the parasitoids should maintain the level of parasitism equal in all the patches irrespective of the host density per patch.
  3. The spatial pattern of parasitism among field patches by a parasitoid with a low fecundity, Praestochrysis shanghaiensis, was in agreement with the prediction of the model, i.e., a similar level of parasitism in different patches was observed when the ratio of female parasitoids to hosts in the whole study area exceeded 0.07. When the ratio was less than 0.05, however, the level of parasitism per patch showed an inverse relation to the host density, and was positively correlated with the female parasitoid-host ratio.

Summary Samples of shoots ofPistacia lentiscus carrying galls of the aphid,Aploneura lentisci, were collected at three localities in Israel. Shoots growing near pruning scars carried more galls than elsewhere on the plant, but these galls weighed less and contained fewer aphids (smaller clones). The proportion of empty galls increased with gall density. Crowding of galls at such sites may be due to the early burst of buds at the time of aphid emergence from the overwintering eggs, and not to active search for preferred sites. Shoots bearing larger numbers of leaves carried heavier galls, which contained larger aphid clones. The position of the galled leaf on the shoot had no effect on gall weight nor on clone size. The physiological condition of the plant may be an important environmental (ecological) factor affecting the variation in clone-size and in aphid morphology among galls.  相似文献

Summary We studied the effects of density on the dynamics of seedling growth and canopy microclimate within experimental stands composed of Datura ferox L. seedlings grown in individual pots. Interception of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) by seedlings was evaluated either indirectly, by measuring leaf area, proportion of leaf area shaded by neighbouring individuals and laminar orientation with respect to sunlight, or directly, by measuring PAR at individual leaves at their natural angle of display. An integrating cylinder, with a geometry approximating that of a stem, was used within the canopies to measure the red:far-red (R:FR) ratio of the light flux from all compass points parallel to the soil surface. Seedlings responded rapidly (i.e. 1–2 weeks) to increased density by producing longer internodes and partitioning more dry matter to stems relative to leaves. These responses were observed before either PAR interception of growth rate were reduced by the presence of neighbours. Conversely, morphogenetic adjustment was preceded by a consistent effect of plant density on the R:FR ratio of the light received by the integrating cylinder. Air and soil temperature were not affected by density in these experiments. Differences in wind velocity within the canopy associated with plant density were avoided by the experimental procedure. The results support the idea that the drop in R:FR ratio of the light flux parallel to the ground — e.g. reflected sunlight — is an early signal that allows rapid adjustment of plant form to changes in canopy structure.  相似文献

滚环扩增(rolling circle amplification, RCA)是一种基于病毒DNA复制而发明的新技术。近些年,RCA技术已经被广泛应用于微小核糖核酸(micro ribonucleic acid, miRNA)的检测。在miRNA检测研究领域中,鉴别高度同源的家族miRNAs成为该研究领域的瓶颈。本研究引入新型的RCA技术来增加鉴别的灵敏度和特异性,进一步提高家族miRNA鉴别的灵敏度,滚环扩增的程度用相对荧光强度来表示。研究结果显示,T4 RNA连接酶2可在RCA的环化过程中实现最大的环化效率,从而提高RCA的检测特异性。本文利用优化的RCA技术,实现对let 7高度同源的家族miRNAs高灵敏度的鉴别,灵敏度可达5 fmol。let 7a的滚环探针对Let 7a这一miRNA扩增后的相对荧光强度为1 550,而对其他的家族miRNA相对荧光强度仅为260。其他的家族miRNA探针在鉴别时相对荧光强度也显示了较大的差异。而依靠传统的RT-qPCR方法的鉴别灵敏度是4 pmol,与本研究相比,灵敏度低了近1 000倍。本研究的结果表明,利用RCA技术鉴别高度同源性miRNAs是高效灵敏的,此前未见相关研究的报道。RCA技术可能被应用于miRNA高灵敏度检测和鉴别的相关研究中。  相似文献

In this paper, we report a colorimetric sensor for the rapid, selective detection of ascorbic acid (AA) in aqueous solutions. Single‐layered MnO2 nanosheets were established as an artificial oxidase; consequently colorless 3,3´,5,5´‐tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) was oxidized to a blue product (oxTMB), with increase in absorbance at 650 nm. The absorbance of the reaction system decreased after introduction AA, which reduced MnO2 into Mn2+. Under optimum conditions, a detection limit of 62.81 nM for AA in aqueous solutions could be achieved. The linear response range for AA was 0.25–30 μM with a correlation coefficient of 0.996. Importantly, the MnO2 nanosheet–TMB chromogenic reaction exhibited great selectivity as there was no interference from other metal ions, amino acids and small biological molecules. The proposed colorimetric sensing of AA could be applied for fruit, juice and pharmaceutical samples. Moreover, the proposed sensor showed satisfying performance, including low cost, easy preparation, rapid detection, and good biocompatibility.  相似文献
